What People Are Saying

“Montessori Reggio Academy has provided Audrey with a supportive and nurturing community while providing her with the freedom to develop and learn at her pace. We are grateful to the caring teachers and to the little people who she calls her first friends in life. From a 20 month old who was struggling with speech, Audrey is now excelling in kindergarten. We are so pleased with the foundation and confidence that she has gained at MRA.

— Dr. Ann Vo Tran (Audrey’s Mom)

Core Values:

A Montessori Reggio Academy education is an investment in your child’s future. We take great pride in offering an authentic Montessori education enriched with a Reggio Emilia arts and science program – a unique combination of proven learning methods. The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy focused on preschool and primary education- based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment based on the interests of the children through a self-guided curriculum. As MRA educators, our goal is to set a strong foundation of life-long emotional and mental wellbeing in each of our students.

  • Confidence
  • Ability to solve social problems
  • Capacity to develop good relationships with peers & adults
  • Ability to listen to instructions and be attentive
  • Concentration and persistence on challenging tasks
  • Ability to effectively communicate emotions

The education at the Montessori Reggio Academy is an investment in your child’s future. We take great satisfaction in providing a Montessori education that is supplemented by a Reggio Emilia arts and science program — a one-of-a-kind combination of tried-and-true learning approaches. The Reggio Emilia approach is a preschool and primary education concept founded on the ideals of respect, responsibility, and community via inquiry and discovery in a supportive and stimulating environment through a self-guided curriculum based on the children’s interests. Our objective as MRA educators is to provide each of our kids with a firm foundation of emotional and mental well-being that will last a lifetime.

MRA is honored to be selected for the 2021 Best of Sugar Land Award in the Montessori School category by the Sugar Land Award Program for the 5th year in a row! Such recognition is given to local businesses that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value in the community. Our school has now demonstrated exceptional success two years running, qualifying it for the Business Hall of Fame. We take great pride in such recognitions, striving each day to create an atmosphere of learning, acceptance, and growth for our students, educators, and parents.

Our goal is to spark a child’s interest in learning while developing independence and self-confidance, helping them to become lifelong learners.

We follow the traditional Montessori Method with the belief that cognitive development is the product of interaction between the individual and the environment. Forget about lesson plans that expect every child to fit into a mold. In our classrooms, children work independently at their own pace with one-on-one guidance from their teacher. Each child leaves at the end of the day with an individual progress report and personalized plans forgrowth. We are the only school in Sugar Land that dedicates an entire room to this hands-on learning program!
