The Montessori Method, Reggio Emilia Approach, and STEAM
Montessori Method
We follow the traditional Montessori Method, which believes that cognitive development is the product of interaction between the individual and the environment. Our goal is to spark a child’s interest in learning, helping them to become lifelong learners.
Learn MoreReggio Emilia
Is a philosophy focused on preschool and primary education. In our Montessori programs, children are treated as “knowledge bearers,” so they are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas about their learnings with their teachers and peers.
Learn MoreSTEAM
Is a national initiative used in all public and most private schools that pushes students to be critical thinkers who can apply what they learn to real-life situations.
Learn More-
IXL is a personalized learning program designed to meet the unique needs of each learner while reinforcing what the child learns in the classroom. Trusted by over 400,000 teachers, your child will find the support they need to learn, grow, and build confidence and motivation.
Curriculum & Foreign Language
Maria Montessori believed that there are “sensitive periods” in a child’s development. The curriculum takes natural advantage of this and has the child make choices regarding that day’s lessons. There is a whole-language approach to reading, composition, and literature, which immerses the child in the activity, and refinement is an ongoing process. Math moves from concrete to abstract ideas, using high-quality, hands-on, self-correcting learning materials. The child gains a clear image of math and how it works. They can then readily understand symbolic math without memorizing rote math facts. Many math concepts get introduced at an early age (plain and solid geometry, logic, etc.), and students enjoy the regular application of math across the daily curriculum.
Our students learn to work and play with others in a peaceful, caring community. Tolerance, acceptance, encouragement, and mental health are embodied in all activities. Students develop and identify a clear sense of self, values, and social conscience.
