Pre-Primary At Montessori Reggio Academy

At Montessori Reggio Academy, your child’s success is our top priority. Our professional and dedicated Montessori teachers work endlessly with our students to get them where they need to be in the classroom and the world. Students are self-paced and self-led while being guided by our highly trained Montessori Reggio Academy teachers to help them achieve their goals. Each classroom has students of various ages, which aids in independence, growth, and maturity. We encourage our students to ask questions, speak their minds, and let them wander freely to help them become confident in their abilities.

In the Classroom:

Our students work both individually & in small groups while learning. Students are self-paced & self-led while being guided by our highly trained Montessori-certified teachers. Our Montessori environment consists of a clean space, natural lighting, and subdued colors, helping our students have a clear mind while working. Our curriculum is designed with your child’s success in mind and aims to accomplish all milestones. The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy focused on preschool and primary education. Believed to be “knowledge bearers,” children are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas about their learnings with their teachers and peers. Our students have monthly Reggio themes that follow our curriculum. They do various Reggio projects that help them better understand what they are learning. A Montessori classroom aims to make learners feel at home rather than in a typical school environment. This flexible learning experience allows children to work individually or in small groups. We deviate from the traditional learning experience with desks and a teacher-focused lesson. We utilize a learner-centered method, which allows learners to delineate their own space in the classroom. Classroom materials are designed with the learners in mind to make them easily accessible for them. The classroom environment is also specially designed to accommodate the learners. Our Montessori classroom provides child-sized furniture, a cozy reading space, accessible sinks, reachable bookshelves, and more. The teacher’s role is to be a facilitator who guides learners in maintaining organization and cleanliness in the classroom, thus teaching them the importance of caring for materials and cleaning up after themselves.
